The Aluminum Honeycomb Core Panel System is unique to Powerwall. This fully patented component is the only composite panel (suitable for external usage) to incorporate a 20mm ventilated, drainable cavity. The Powerwall Honeycomb Panel has been extensively tested in the UK achieving category B impact resistance and class 0 fire rating.

Our unique manufacturing process incorporates an alkali and acid resistant aerospace grade aluminum to form the 20mm core which is laminated with heavy duty roven fiberglass skins to create a panel which is virtually free from thermal expansion.  This offers exceptional flexural stability and is incredibly lightweight @ 2kg / m2.

The Honeycomb panel system is compatible with a number of surface finishes including, Renders, Rainscreen, Brick and Stone slips, Marble and Ceramic laminates.

The panel is used extensively within the Powerwall Volumetric Space Frame & Cassette Walling Systems and also in Timber Kit housing where it replaces the brick or concrete block of the external wall.
The panel has extraordinary performance and can be used in high-rise situations, marine environments, urban or rural situations and when used with Powerwall render systems, negates the need for movement joints offering a much more pleasing aesthetic than traditional carrier systems/renders.

The panel can also be used as a substrate for thin marble and ceramic skins.

Powerwall provides a highly specialised range of render finishes formulated to be protective, durable, waterproof and give an extraordinary aesthetic finish.

Our renders are self-coloured giving the user an easily applicable product, which only requires the addition of water and on-site mixing to make them ready for application.

Tried and tested, our products have been relied upon in the industry for over 35 years and have been successfully used in very diverse and innovative applications.

The sample colours shown are available in our traditional and polymer render ranges.

*Renders are produced from natural materials and colours may vary.

External Insulation is the simplest and easiest way of thermally upgrading  homes and buildings
without massive disruption as all works can be carried out whilst the buildings are occupied.

Our systems increase the comfort levels, as well as totally transforming the appearance of the built environment.

External wall insulation is more effective than normal cavity wall insulation and it can reduce your energy bills by up to 25-30% p.a. or £500 a year on your energy bills.

Our four individual systems offer a complete solution for any type of building, ranging from low rise to high rise, with a wide range of finishes including renders, brick slips, modern acrylic coatings and cladding which not only reduce heat loss but also deliver all of the following advantages;
• Reduced CO2 Emissions
• Stops condensation
• Helps prevent mould and fungus growth
• Increases Thermal Efficiency
• Stops draughts
• Lowers heating cost
• Improved Aesthetic Finish
• No Reduction in interior floor space

Honeycomb on Timber

products on November 7th, 2009 Comments Off

Powerwall Space Frame Systems have developed a unique Honeycomb panel to address the growing issues of greener living, We have developed a solution to improve the ‘U-value’ in timber kit housing using fully recyclable materials.

Honeycomb panels are developed from space age technology where very high tensile compressive and impact resistance is required in an extremely lightweight durable panel.

The Powerwall Honeycomb panel is the only fully vented and drainable panel of its type in the market place which makes it a must for all timber kit installers/manufacturers.

The panel itself creates an extremely flat surface to allow the application of traditional polymer renders such as dry-dash, wet -dash scrape finishes and also acrylic.

The unique Honeycomb panel negates the need for a conventional brick/block cavity outer leaf nad offers a hi tech walling system compatible with a variety of finishes, such as render , brick slips marbles, ceramics, granite, stone and mosaics.

The standard Honeycomb panel is 20mm thick and weighs less than 2kg/m2 allowing reduction in overall building weight and savings on foundation costs.

The Honeycomb panel can also be installed in any weather condition, whereas brick/block has its limitations.
